Doris Kaifa was born in Monrovia, Liberia. She moved to the USA in 1999 and begin her career with the Social Work Department of the Good Samaritan Ministries, Inc.  She has worked for the Good Samaritan Ministries for 11 years to present. Doris is the manager/supervisor of Good Samaritan Ministries branch in Piney Flat, TN.   

Celebrate Life Ya Un’ Mission, Inc. which has been operating for the past six years serving the underprivilege in our community. Celebrate Life Ya Un’ Mission promotes inclusion, give hope to the hopeless, lift up the lonely and share Christ Love (John 15:12).  Celebrate Life Ya Un’ Mission celebrates birthdays, graduations, anniversaries and any event one will like to celebrate.  It also celebrates the different cultures in the Tri-Cities at the Langston Centre in Johnson City. Over 20, 000 community members have been served through the Celebrate Life Ya Un’ Mission.

Doris serves in other philanthropic organization in the community of Johnson City. She is a member of the Johnson City Lions Club where she served as secretary for two years and currently as President.She has 4 beautiful daughters. Besiah, Zinnah, Joy and Precious.

Educationally, Doris has an earned, Associate degree from North East Community College, BSW and Master Degree in Social Work from East Tennessee State University (ETSU). She also has a real estate license and currently work at Keller Williams Realty.Doris lives a simple life. She loves to read and make new connections.

Patrice Baxter is a highly motivated individual with a proven track record of inspiring others and driving success. She is a native of Rock Hill, SC, currently residing in Bristol, TN, and holds a BA in Business Management from Francis Marion University (2010). Her dedication to community service is evident in her leadership roles and charity event organization for local public service organizations. A devoted Christian, Patrice is a store manager, overseeing a team of associates and collaborating with businesses to maximize profitable sales. She aspires to become a successful business owner and maintains a positive outlook on her future.

Dr. Deborah DeFrieze

Secretary
Dr. Deborah DeFrieze, LCSW is a retired educator of 30 years in public schools. She has taught special education, regular education and has been an administrator as well as an assistant professor. She received her undergraduate from Bowling Green State University, Doctorate from the University of George, her master’s in social work from the University of Tennessee and is a licensed massage therapist. She is a member of several non-profits, Good Samaritan Ministries, The Stoplight Approach and Celebrate Life Ya’Un Mission, Inc. She presents the Stoplight Approach, The Road to Mental Health, to many organizations. She has worked with children and adults for the last 50 years. She attends Calvary Church in Johnson City. She has enjoyed working with Celebrate Ya’Un Mission, Inc. as it helps those who are forgotten to be recognized.
